HIV and Kidney Disease | HIV and End Stage Renal Failure
HIV disease is a multi-system disorder, and a significant cause of renal compromise and failure. Recent research has explored the effects of the HIV virus on the kidney and the possible genetic associations that may predispose some individuals to kidney failure from HIV infection. Research publications on the interactions between the HIV virus and the kidneys will be presented below.
